Meranda Cook, Principal

My name is Meranda Cook.  I grew up in the Pleasant Shade community and then graduated from Smith County High School in 2001.  I then attended Tennessee Tech where I obtained a B.S. degree in Multidisciplinary Studies in 2003.  I received my Masters degree in Instructional Leadership from TTU as well.  I began my teaching career at Lafayette Elementary.  This is my fourth year as principal at Defeated.  I absolutely love my job, the kids and the people I work with.  Here at Defeated, we are not just a school, we are a family.

My husband Daniel and I live in Pleasant Shade with our three year old daughter, Mia.  In my spare time, I enjoy the beach, playing Bunco, shopping and most of all, spending time with my family.
