First Grade - Tanya Claywell

     My name is Tanya Claywell, and I graduated from Tennessee Tech with a degree in elementary education. I began teaching at Forks River in 1998. I taught for six years, working with kindergarten, first and second grades. When my son Gary was born in 2004, I chose to be a stay-at-home mom with him. I feel blessed to be teaching at Forks River again now that he is in kindergarten. I enjoy nurturing the students and helping them develop a love of learning and a “can do” attitude. My husband Kenny is a park ranger. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, taking care of our pets, and working outside in the yard.

You can reach me during my planning time Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:15-8:45 and Tuesday from 1:00 - 1:30.
