First Grade - Pam McClanahan

Hello, I teach First Grade at Forks River School.

    First grade is the place I love to be.  I love being greeted by my first graders smiling faces each and every morning (Which puts a smile on my face).  I tell my students that they make my heart smile and they really do!!! There is so much that they learn in first grade.  It is very rewarding to see their faces glow when they realize all the new things they now can do. First grade is such a gratifying grade teach.

    Now a little about me: I got my Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education from TSU in 1992.   I started teaching in the fall of 1992.  In 1993 I start teaching at FRS in First Grade.  I have taught First grade here ever since. 

    I am married to Richard McClanahan.  We have two sons.  They are Ethan and Noah McClanahan.  They keep my spare time busy with fishing, ball practice and games.  When they don’t have my time busy then I enjoy reading.

    It is a joy and blessing to come to work each day. I enjoy working with friends and my smiling super smart first graders.
