Principal - Melinda Spivey spiveym@k12tn.net
Serving as the principal of Forks River Elementary, I feel blessed to share in the growth and development of your child during their childhood school experience. In addition to my role as a principal, I am the wife of a wonderful husband, Rick Spivey. We have three children; Madison, Cameron, and Merissa who are all students at FRS. After graduating from Smith County High School, I attended Tennessee Tech University where I received my bachelor’s degree in Human Ecology Education. I began my career at Gordonsville High School where I served as the Family and Consumer Science teacher, FCCLA sponsor, and the Yearbook Staff Sponsor. I also received my Master’s Degree in Administration during this time. I then went to Station Camp High School. During the time I was there, I taught Family and Consumer Science, was the sponsor of several organizations including the yearbook, and ended my term there as an assistant principal. We moved back here where I then began the job at FRS. I love this school and the people of this community while also love being able to share in the day to day joys and trials of watching our own kids grow through their school experience. I have been extremely happy here and look forward to many great things ahead for our school. In my spare time, I enjoy running a small, part time business called M Photography, traveling, watching my kids play sports, shopping with my sister and mom, and teaching a Sunday school class at my church. I am extremely proud of the caring and loving team you will find at FRS. My door is always open. Stop by for a visit any time. Thanks again for sharing your little one with us. |
