Principal

Mr. Ronnie Scudder

                                                                                                        

Mr. Scudder is currently serving his 30th year for the Smith County school system.  He began his teaching career at Pleasant Shade elementary.  Mr. Scudder spent 16 years at Forks River elementary, including 11 as Principal.  Mr. Scudder was also Principal at Carthage Elementary for two years.  He spent five years at Smith County High School, as a teacher and Head Girl's basketball coach.  Mr. Scudder has been the Principal of Smith County Middle School since its inaugural year of 2002.  Mr. Scudder obtained his B.S. degree in 1978 and his M.A. in Administration in 1982.  Additionally, Mr. Scudder obtained a +30 certification in 1996.  Mr. Scudder and his wife, Teresa live in the Tanglewood community with their daughter, Kaci.  We are very proud to have Mr. Scudder as Principal of Smith County Middle School.

 

 

                               

Assistant Principal

Mr. Stacy Angel

Mr. Angel is entering his eleventh year in the field of education.   He is a 1991 graduate of Smith County High School.  Mr. Angel received his B.S. Degree from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, his M.A. in Instructional Leadership, and a Specialist in Education degree from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville.  Additionally, Mr. Angel also serves as part-time Assistant Principal and Head Boy's Basketball Coach at Smith County High School.  Mr. Angel and his wife, Tiffany, live in Carthage along with their children, Hailey and Gracey.
