Dr. and Mrs. Ernest Jones visited the students at Smith County Middle School library for a lesson during Black History Month.  Mrs. Birdie made a wonderful presentation about her book, Birdie: The Girl Next Door. Dr. Jones encouraged the students to set their goals high and gave examples from his own life.  "We all really enjoyed their visit.  Dr. and Mrs. Birdie are a wonderful asset to our community.", stated Mrs. Holladay, the librarian.
