PRINCIPAL’S NEWS
Congratulations SCMS!!! We are in the top
9 middle schools in Tennessee based on our Value Added scores.
These scores come from our TCAP scores over the past three
years.
EIGHTH GRADE GRADUATION
The Eighth grade graduation has been set
for May 19th at 7:00pm.
YEARBOOKS
We still have some yearbooks for sale. See
Mrs. Stevens if you would to purchase one. The cost is $37.00.

BOOK FAIR
The Library is currently having its end of
year book fair. Everything is ½ price. Stop by the Library to
see what they have.
BAND NEWS
The annual Spring Festival will be held
this year on Friday May 9th at the SCHS Gym. The
concert begins at 6:00 and will feature the 5th, 6th,
7th, and 8th grade bands from SCMS as well
as the high school band, chorus, and jazz band.

placing 1st in the Smith County Tennessee Farm Bureau

Officers Association essay and receiving $200
8th grader Casey Rushing for
winning Best Catapult in Coach Kelley’s Science class
6th grader Diana Phillips for
tying for 2nd place in the Upper Cumberland Region
