These teachers work with all of our students.

Art

Mrs. Heidi Massey has been teaching for three years.  She is newly married and lives in Carthage.  Ms. Heidi travels to several of our elementary schools to teach art.  She loves to draw people and animals and gives art lessons in her spare time. 

Computer Lab

Mrs. Gayle Uhles is the computer lab instructor.  Ms. Gayle graduated from TTU.  She has been teaching in Smith County for 14 years.  She lives in Buffalo Valley with her husband.  They have two children and one grandchild. Ms. Gayle enjoys traveling, yard sales & flea markets, but most of all playing with her new grandbaby.

Guidance

Mrs. Jamie Wallace is our guidance counselor.  Mrs. Wallace can sign and translates sign language for area churches and schools.  She is an avid walker and like to be active by playing sports and dancing.  

Music

Ms. Lori Stiggins has been teaching music and/or band for six years.  Ms. Stiggins is originally from Texas, but moved here from Kentucky at the beginning of school last year.  She travels to two more of the elementary schools to teach music.  Ms. Lori loves the outdoors and enjoys kayaking.

Physical Education

Miss Kelly Parkerson is a P.E. teacher, basketball coach, and the SCHS girls softball coach.  Ms. Kelly has been teaching for three years.  She graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi and received a M.A. at TTU.  She is presently working on her EdS at TTU.  She likes to travel and shop! 

Special Education

Mrs. Marlene Carver is our special education teacher.  She has been teaching for twenty-nine years. She holds several degrees and certifications.  She lives in Cookeville and has two sons and two grandsons.  She loves wildflower collecting and spends all her free time gardening and growing flowers.
